If we plot human evolution into a 24 hour timeline, this is how it looks like.
We have been hunter & gatherer tribe for 23:49 hours, we have been industrialised for 0.49 to 0.59 seconds and we have been digitised for 1 second.
No doubts digitisation is taking our perception by storm but unfortunately our biology is not ready to go at the speed we want to go.
We have the same old brain and the same old human system handling new world. The struggle is between the 1 second and the 23:49 hours. The FOMO and the information awareness is killing us in many ways and our brains are not able to fathom what we are going through.
Give it another million years, probably it will adjust and adapt. That is evolution. But now we need to live with the old tool and the new developments. This conundrum needs to be empathised. If not anywhere at least in education.
