First principles get you far ahead than any prescription and framework out there. Always principles are few and methods are many. So harness the power of principles so that you always stay as a master and everything else will enable you as tools.
When it comes to weight loss, here are the first principles that are in play
Your body is a system and it works a certain way. Work with it and not against it.
Your intake (quantity and quality - in that order) determines health of your digestive system. You can’t screw this up and expect fabulous results.
There is an order in which your body loses fat. It is a long term play and a slow process. Don’t expect magic.
Use systems and routines rather than willpower and sheer grit.
Your movement might not help you lose weight but it helps indirectly.
If you just work with the above first principles you will have a sustained success with weight loss.
