Whooo hooo! four series in four months on DesignU š This feels unreal to me.
What started as a curious experiment has grown into multiple products & systems for the various elements of life design (health, wealth, productivity, growth, community, career etc) in such a short time. Thank you for continued support. Gratitude š
I donāt know about you but by trying to put things out in a simple and succinct manner everyday, I learned a lot about writing, visualising and synthesising information. Lot more to learn but I surely have come a long way in these 120 days. I am super excited about this neuroscience series. What a special way to treat my birthday month š
As a cognitive scientist (i prefer to be called a perpetual student though), most of my day is spent in trying to understand and observe the userās underlying mental activities through research, data, experiments and more in the digital world. While my job is to observe and analyse the human mind in a holistic manner (through the lens of anthropology, semiotics, behavioural economics, social psychology, information processing, neuroscience etc) and make machines that make human lives better, I have developed a special reverence for the biology of our brain. What a magnificent organ!
It was summer 2018 and I was tempted to go to Berkley U and do a masters in Cognitive Neuroscience (study under Dr.Matt Walker) and I almost applied. Slowly I realised I canāt just like that leave my children and family to go full time for 2 long years to a different country š. That is when I read this book Ultralearning by Scott Young and I decided to do Neuroscience his way. I am pleased I took that path.
Like a mad (wo)man, I spent 2 long years learning about the human brain from some of the best neurosurgeons and neuroscientists on the planet. Thanks to Netvarsity for continuing to keep me excited. I could not hold all the love inside me so I started teaching neuroscience to product designers and product leaders. This way they can make better products knowing how the brain works. That is the most serendipitous thing I ever did. The love story continuesā¦
This month I want to share some nuggets on how understanding the brain can help you hack a better life. I canāt wait to get started. Letās dig in from tomorrow.
Can't wait to read more. Recently developed interest in this subject. Thank you for choosing it.
