Systems
With mindset and first principles set, time to set our system for weight loss.
A system is nothing but a set of things that work together seamlessly as parts of a complex whole. So let us design the parts and whole of your weight loss system.
You need the following
Access to good quality ingredients and produce. Organic is better. If you can grow them even better.
A kitchen that can help you with nutritious and delicious meals every day. Take aways and cold foods are not recommended as quality cannot be guaranteed. If you can cook your own meals great. If not at least a good kitchen that serves you fresh food everyday.
Access to drinking water near you. Eg: Fill up a bottle for the day and keep it accessible.
A digital scale that helps you track your weight everyday. Recommended.
A digital kitchen scale that helps you keep your cognitive overload to a minimum.
(Optional) Access to a bed during the day which allows you to rest if need be.
A tracker notebook with all the templates (will be provided towards the end of series) tucked in so you don’t keep scrambling everyday. If you insist a digital medium, keep it all in one place (Notion is my go to tool for this).
A bowl and a glass that helps you eat and drink. This way you don’t eat anywhere and everywhere in anything and everything.
A social accountability group is highly recommended. We do fall off the wagon and it would be good to chug along a group with similar goals and aspirations.
Having a system designed and handy produces far more success than not having one. It becomes an uphill task without a system in place.
